Ss. Simon and Jude Elementary School

On Feb 24th, 2018 we visited Ss. Simon and Jude Elementary School in Phoenix, AZ. Over 225 students and teachers from Grades 4, 6, 7 & 8 got to walk on the map during their science classes, participated in the Mars Landing Site Scavenger Hunt, and took pictures of the map they found interesting for a follow-up writing assignment from them teachers.

ABOUT US >

The 2001 Mars Odyssey spacecraft and the Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS) have been acquiring infrared images of Mars for more than 16 years. The best-quality images from the mission have been compiled into a global mosaic at 100 m/pixel resolution and printed on a walkable basketball-court-sized vinyl mat to spread awareness and excitement about Mars exploration!
