Thanks to JPL Solar System Ambassador Dr. Baron Summers, we were invited to bring the map back to Desert Mirage Elementary School in Glendale, AZ on February 21st, 2019. This time, all of the school's 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students had the opportunity to take a tour of Mars, see the landing site for the recent InSIGHT mission, and the landing site for the upcoming Mars 2020 rover. This was our first time trying the "Tour of Mars" activity with third graders and it went amazingly well! They were super enthusiastic about the chance to "walk on Mars" and asked some amazing questions about Martian geography and the future of Mars exploration!
